I saw a similar clutch at a designer store while I was visiting Seattle a few weeks ago. I did not like the high end price so I thought of a way to make my own.
I had this hide of turquoise leather from a project last year & cut on the grain. I have a Caboodle full of beads & chose these ones.
I used my Skull clutch that I made last year as a template & made it basically the same way except I made this one with a flap.
I cut the leather a little thick so I could thread on the beads & tied knots to the ends.
I did break 2 leather needles.....my other 1960's Singer sewing machine had just called it quits so I used my newer one.
Love my new true blue clutch!
Sew you later!

Your clutch is really lovely. Sewing leather must be difficult! But worth both needles!
Very cute clutch!! Is that just a regular machine with a leather sewing needle? I didn't know you could get leather sewing needles! This I have to try!! :)
Thanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
