fur necklace........

Hello sewing & DIY friends!  I have been MIA due to a little illness soon after I returned home from my vacation but I am getting better.... so no worries!  I have missed sewing so much & I hope to start some fall projects that I have been thinking about very soon.   In the mean time I have been slowly working on some necklaces that I can do while resting in my bed.

For this glamorous necklace I used some fur that was leftover from a project last year, chains that I also had leftover from a dress project, jump rings, pliers & a couple of straight pins, needle & thread.

I started by using my pliers to twist the straight pins around the chains to make a link......

this joins the chains to the ring so it hangs nicely............

and also makes hand sewing the chains to the fur much easier.............

My inspiration came from one of my fur vests that I wore the other day & I am liking this trend that has returned this season.  Now maybe some fur bracelets or rings?

Sew you later!

So sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well. The fact that you can think about sewing shows that you must be getting better.
I love the necklace. You are always ahead of the crowd and making the next big thing. I have lots os boas pieces leftover from my costume making days. I think i might try to make a necklace!
Who else but you would be sick in bed with rings, polished nails, and making glamourous jewelry!!!

Hope you up and sewing soon.
