t-shirt dress......

I usually do not make refashions but the "husband" said I "shrunk" his t-shirt & I should have it because it no longer fit him!  At this rate I am never going to finish my Vogue jumpsuit before summer ends............

We belong to a car club & these are t-shirts my husband got for us..there are only men's sizes L & XL so I decided to make mods to the "shrunk" one he gave me...........

I started by cutting a new neck line.......

for the sleeves I made 2 rows at the top & set my machine on the longest stitch...I then pulled the threads to gather & tied off at the ends.

I measured 6 inches from the neckline & with my measuring tape drew a line in pencil so I could sew the elastic in a straight line.

I used a zig zag stitch on all my seams & pulled slightly on the elastic as I stitched so it would gather.

and now I have my car club t-shirt dress that fits me & I wore it this past weekend on our car club road trip.  The other lady members loved it & my husband got a "new" t-shirt.......but maybe by the next "wash" I will think of another way to glamorize another one these t-shirts....any ideas? lol!

Sew you later!
